As per the Altoona Mirror Friday May 23, 2008 A federal mandate will take effect November 24, 2008 that all personel on the scene of motor vehicle accidents or other highway incidents must wear highly reflective safety vests, which can be seen from all sides. This includes ambulance crews, firefighters, police, and media who respond to these calls. More information will be posted as it comes available as to the exact requirements of these vests.
